The VOLTERRA is a mahogany-stained wooden presentation case for a single coin or medallion up to 60mm in diameter. Inside, the soft blue satin gives the piece a quiet sense of occasion, not loud, not showy, just properly presented.

Jonah has always had a weakness for blue satin.

He says it reminds him of a winter evening in Florence in 1989, although no one has ever been able to verify whether he was actually there. The story changes slightly each time he tells it. He noticed how it made old silver look colder, gold look warmer, and bronze look as though it had been pulled from history rather than storage. Since then, Jonah has insisted that a fine coin should not simply be kept. It should be introduced.
