A single coin, properly encapsulated, still deserves somewhere to be seen rather than simply stored.

The NOBILE is a small red etui built to hold one coin in a UNI CAPS S capsule. Closed, it is unremarkable. Opened, it does the one thing a good case is for: it presents.

Because the UNI CAPS capsules share identical outer dimensions, coins of quite different sizes can live in the same system without ever changing the housing — a small mercy when a collection grows in the untidy way collections tend to.

It is the red that Jonah keeps returning to. He says it reminds him of a dealer in Vienna, sometime in the early nineties, who kept his better pieces in a box exactly this colour and would not open it until the room had emptied of casual browsers. Jonah was not, he insists, a casual browser. The dealer disagreed. There was also a tram he missed, and an argument about a denarius that was either a bargain or a forgery depending on which evening you ask him.

What he remembers cleanly is the colour. Red, he maintains, makes silver look honest.

The NOBILE is more modest than any of that. It holds one capsule, keeps it from rattling, and lets the coin be looked at properly.
