Engine chapters -

The book covers all diesel engines, RD28, TD42 and ZD30 including the common rail engine, turbocharged engines are covered. All petrol/gasoline engines, TB42, TB45 and TB48, the TB42 was an option in some countries in the first few years of production. Chapters are full of step by step instructions, plus plenty of photographs and line illustrations to give the reader explicit detail, suitable for everyone, regardless of whether you require minor engine work or a major rebuild.

Addendum: Correction for ZD30 3.0L Engine Oil Capacity

Correction Notice - ZD30 3.0L Diesel Engine (Common Rail and Non-Common Rail)

In the engine specifications section of the book, an error was made regarding the engine oil capacity for the ZD30 3.0L diesel engine.

The incorrect values published:

  • With old oil filter: 5.2 litres

  • With new oil filter: 5.8 litres

The correct engine oil capacity is:

  • 8.1 litres with the existing oil filter

  • 8.7 litres with a new oil filter installed

This correction applies to both the common rail and earlier turbocharged versions of the ZD30 engine.
